Meet A Stroke of Magic Event Space and Boutique

I'm Amanda Devenport, the proud owner and creator behind this small business, located in the heart of Moberly's Depot District.

A Stroke of Magic began in 2014 as a painting studio. Since beginning my ASOM journey in 2020, I’ve been blending creativity and passion from the already established paint studio to bring to life unique designs and gifts, and a space to host all of your special events in. Canvas painting, crafting classes, day programs, team building, birthday parties, bridal and baby showers are just a few things we do in ASOM Event Space.

ASOM Boutique takes pride in supporting our school district along with surrounding schools by providing Letterman Jackets and patches, and the coolest school swag around! I have over 10 local makers who provide the neatest variety of items!

On top of all the handmade items we have a fantastic line of Boutique clothing for ladies and children! We love custom orders for all things including embroidery, laser, and DTF transfer printing!! If you want it, we will work our Magic to make it happen!!!

In the Spring of 2024, I took the leap into full ownership and a new name!

In addition to our Event Space and Boutique, we offer on-site event decor and event decor rentals to make your special occasions truly magical.

When I'm not working on new creations or decorating your special events I’m spending time with my husband Doug and our children, Reimund and Elsie! A kindergartener and a Senior keeps me on my toes in "my free time"!

If you don't see me in the store or Event Space you see one of my girls! I have a truly amazing crew that keep the ship afloat when we are booked at more places than one at the same time!!! My girls are the best and no you can't have them!
